In the land of cypress swamps
A photo tour through the “Deep South” with Photographer Thomas Heitmar.
This unique tour leads from New Orleans along the legendary Blues Highway to the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, focusing on the mystical cypress swamps of East Texas and Louisiana.
Highlights include the mansions in Natchez, the Oak Alley Plantation, Clarksdale, the birthplace of the blues, as well as Caddo Lake and the hidden bayous of Cajun Country.
The USA expert Christian Heeb planned and compiled the route.
We explore the swamps by canoe, kayak and motorboat.
