Abbott Schindler has been shooting for more than 50 years and teaching for more than 20 years. He views photography as a means to extend his vision beyond what’s immediately apparent to the eye. His favorite subjects are birds, wildlife, and landscapes. He also enjoys night sky, macro photography, and interesting mechanical objects. Abbott teaches photography classes, workshops, provides 1-on-1 instruction, and does custom photo assignments, and has served as a photographer at the High Desert Museum since 2008. His work has been published in books, professional journals, and other places.
Abbott loves sharing his knowledge and experience. He personally contacts clients before they meet so he can personalize the experience for the client’s needs. He often provides a printed handout that summarizes important points made during their session(s). Sessions are always flexible, and are always focused on what the client wants to accomplish both photographically and scenically. He is available as a instructor for private tutoring, one-on-ones and photo tours at the Cascade Center of Photography.
